Around The Courts: Summer in Full Swing at Crandon Park Tennis Center
Welcome back Crandon Park Tennis Center players! June brought the launch of our inaugural Summer Camp and the start of Summer USTA Leagues, and July is keeping the energy going with continued programming, holiday hours, and plenty of opportunities to get on court. Here’s the latest from our courts.
Junior & Adult Tennis Highlights
June was a big month across both our adult and junior programs. On the adult side, we celebrated more program milestones from our Love to Learn and Love to Play graduates. Congratulations to Stefan Avram, Thabata Zago, and Natalia Zviagina, who graduated from Love to Learn. We also want to recognize our Love to Play graduates: Elsa Corbett, Jackie Cush, Johan Reyes, and Sebastian Loor. It’s been great to see so many new players finding their footing in the sport right here at Crandon Park. Summer USTA Leagues also officially got underway this month, adding a strong competitive layer to our summer calendar.
Our inaugural Summer Camp is up and running, and it’s been fantastic to see kids learning the fundamentals of tennis while enjoying the game each day. There’s still time to sign up! Camp continues through July 31 (no camp on July 3), and parents can register for as many dates as they’d like. Whether your child is picking up a racquet for the first time or looking for more court time this summer, we’d love to have them join us.

Looking ahead in July, our drop-in clinics continue for adult players of all levels. Beginners can join on Thursdays at 6:00 PM and Saturdays at 10:00 AM. Our 3.0–3.5 clinics run Mondays and Wednesdays at 7:00 PM, and our 4.0–4.5 clinics run Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:00 PM. On the junior side, alongside camp, Red Ball clinics for ages 4 and 5 run Thursdays at 4:00 PM and Saturdays at 9:00 AM, with a separate 6 and 7 year old group on Saturdays at 9:30 AM.
Facility Update
Please note our holiday hours for the Fourth of July: the facility will be open 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM on both July 3 and July 4. We hope everyone has a safe and fun holiday with family and friends.

Coaches Tip of the Month
Keep your eyes on the ball all the way through contact, and always finish your swing. A complete follow-through isn’t just for looks, it’s what gives you control, consistency, and confidence on every shot. Rushing the finish is one of the fastest ways to lose accuracy, so trust the full motion from start to finish.
